LEVERAGING SCHOOL-BASED LEADERSHIP
Our Sportsmanship, Citizenship And Leadership Expedition (SCALE) offers students in Grades 10-12 an insight into the role of sport in safeguarding our planet and its people.
Designed around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) where sports can make a valuable contribution, SCALE includes a series of interactive workshops led by Aurora and its network of education partners. Working with fellow students from across international schools in Jordan, the sessions are a unique space for students to foster civic-mindedness, leadership and responsibility.
Upon completion, students are invited to share their learning with peers in Grade 7-9 through our Peer Education Toolkit, a collection of enjoyable lessons that bring the world of Sport for Development to life.

"If you think sports doesn't make an impact on people.. Try to throw a ball to a little kid and observe the reaction!
I believe that sports is a drive and a hope to people and its impact is another butterfly effect!"
Omar Hadid, Founder6 Yard Academy
"We are very happy with the opportunity to speak with an audience of exceptional football players and young individuals that are making a difference."
Samira El-Adawy, Youth Engagement ManagerSpecial Olympics – MENA
"Everything takes time, effort and a lot of love. Aurora was a great experience, it taught me to be bolder, kinder and smarter for myself and for the world our generation is building."

"This experience with aurora was very uplifting. I know that I will cultivate and cherish everything that I’ve learnt throughout the last couple of months. I believe that we rise by lifting others and to be given the opportunity to run our final workshop as a group and give back was astonishing! The experience was very moving."
Rayyan KiswaniAmman Baccalaureate School
"I would say the experience was a bit eye opening as to show the difference between teaching and getting taught to as they are similar in aspects yet complete opposites in other."
Zaid SawanNew English School
"Being able to share my opinion in the sessions made me feel heard, it also really helped me because it’s my final year in school and I had no idea what I wanted to study but this experience helped me realise what I wanted to do next."
Natalie Al KayyaliBritish International Academy
"Aurora’s SCALE program gave me the opportunity to actively voice my opinions regarding a plethora of our region’s issues. I was able to discuss said issues with many students across the country and ultimately utilize sports as a mode to come up with creative and innovative ways to tackle the MENA region’s most pressing issues."
