Who We Are
Aurora for Training and Development is a non-profit organisation based in Amman, Jordan. We specialise in designing and implementing innovative solutions for youth engagement in sport for development.
Aurora envisions a generation of sport leaders committed to using their platform to champion the wellbeing of people and planet.
What We Do
At Aurora, we are inspired by working with youth aged 16-17 at the intersection of sport, education and development.
Using passion for sport as a vehicle for social change, we empower young sportsmen and women with the skills necessary to advocate for ethical and sustainable development through sport.
HOW WE DO IT
Aurora's Model for Positive Youth Development is a tried and tested tool for youth engagement in sport for development initiatives. In line with our mission, the model is comprised of three operational streams.
ENLIGTHEN
Educating youth on the social and moral foundations of sport for development.
EMPOWER
Recognising youth contributions through certification and empowerment.
ENGAGE
Creating youth leadership opportunities through community engagement.
Who We Work With
From youth and their parents, to schools, sport entities and fellow non-governmental organisations, our stakeholders play a central role in our programme design and delivery.
We work with our partners to ensure that youth training meets best practice and makes a valuable contribution to the most important social issues of our time.
